Product Description

Porsche created well-balance sport-cars – The 987 Boxster and Cayman.  987s are pinnacle analog cars that response instantly to steering wheel input due to light weight, mid-engine configuration, balanced chassis and hydraulic power assist steering (HPAS).  HPAS is especially tactile since it transmits road and tire information to the driver.  Road surface, wet/dry conditions, tire loading in turns and front tire traction are constantly felt by the driver.  Ideal to many?  Yes.  They are a driving purist’s dream.

Many driving enthusiasts feel that a tachometer, coolant temperature, oil pressure and oil temperature gauges are mandatory for the vital signs of an internal combustion engine.  Porsche delivers these gauges in the Type 997 911 but excluded the oil pressure and oil temperature gauges in the Type 978 Cayman and Boxster.  Proper sports cars must have complete instrumentation.
